Artist and tailor, Viktoria Gokun will lead an informative and interactive mending tutorial on hand-sewing techniques for repairing and mending fabric. Whether you’re a beginner or have sewing experience, this workshop will guide you through the essential skills needed to fix tears, rips, and holes in your favorite garments. Embellish and decorate your garments with provided thread and a variety of fabric scraps to create your own patches. Please bring 2-4 garments that you’d like to mend or come with the intention of hand-sewing your own patches. All sewing materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own sewing kit if you have one. Let’s bring new life to your favorite garments just like our ancestors have always done!
