Viktoria Gokun is a Russian-Ukrainian artist based in Los Angeles. As a young child, she immigrated with her family as refugees to Sacramento, CA just before the collapse of the Soviet Union. Although she spent many of her formative years in the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest, she considers California home.

Growing up in a large musical family, Viktoria began to cultivate her creative identity at a young age. Her early mediums included singing, painting, illustration, and photography. In 2013, she moved to LA and began working under master fashion designer Gale Parker, who trained under Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent. Viktoria fell in love with the medium of textiles and sewing. Coming from a long family line of seamstresses, she naturally began creating one-of-a-kind pieces from vintage textiles.

In 2016, she launched a small series of hand-painted garments on recycled linen and rayon. Although her attention has recently moved away from fashion, her constant exploration of garment construction, textiles, and painting is still her primary focus as an artist.
